第五章莱因哈特的计划进行的非常顺利，在进入十月后，埃尔得到的最后消息，是大部队已经开始向亚姆立札星域移动，前往追击同盟的军队。她相信很快的，莱因哈特就会结束这整场战争。
不过在他亚姆立札会战胜利，告捷归来之前，另一则面向全宇宙的通讯，先一步传遍了帝国全境：皇帝佛瑞德李希四世猝逝！
因而，在伯伦希尔降落奥丁地表的时候，莱因哈特没有得到任何凯旋的仪式和胜利的战歌，迎接他的只有举目可见的悼丧旗海。
而整个奥丁，在经历了最初的惊愕，之后各方势力的较力，最后在艾尔威·由谢夫二世即位之时，其中涌动的暗流达到了顶峰。
